IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE @ 29.09.2021:

This event will now be delivered fully virtually.

We had hoped to deliver the event physically and to take the opportunity to welcome you in person to the Cyber Quarter in Hereford.

However, in light of recent events surrounding fuel supplies in the UK and feedback from many of you that the situation would make it more difficult for you to attend, we have taken the decision to deliver the event virtually via Zoom.

Although we are very disappointed that we will not be able to meet you in person, the potential 'silver lining' is that this allows us to welcome many more of our attendees, some of whom will be joining from across the U.K., USA, EU and Dubai which is testament to the reputation of the Region’s defence economy.

We hope that you will join us to find out more about how the Regional Defence Cluster could help you to do business in Defence and network with those who share the goal of projecting the innovations, entrepreneurs and expertise within the Region globally.

STEP ONE: Ensure you are registered to attend - see link below

STEP TWO: You will receive a link to the Zooms meeting which commences 15.30 - 16.30 BST Thursday 30th September

We recommend that you join the meeting at 15.25 to ensure that you are fully logged in by the anticipated started time of 15.30

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Led by the Three Counties Defence and Security Group (3CDSG), this briefing aims to introduce companies in the defence, communications and security markets to the emerging Regional Defence Clusters, and open the question of "How do we improve the collaboration around innovative technology development?"

Attendees at this briefing will hear how a pilot project is drawing on the key Defence, Cyber and Security capabilities in GFirst, Worcester, and the Marches LEP areas.

We intend to utilise naturally occurring ‘hubs’ around key national agencies and the obvious need to provide solutions to challenges such as building a ‘national’ 5G capability or improving SME cyber awareness and implementation to build an SME community.

This will be supplemented with chosen Research Institutes, Professional services companies, and funders; and to drive the first waves of innovation we will request that National Agencies and larger corporates develop challenges to be solved.
